Frequently asked questions
What kinds of groups do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of therapist-led virtual groups focused on topics like anxiety, body image, relationship issues, creative arts therapy, and more. Some groups run for a set period (like 8 weeks), while others are ongoing with open enrollment based on availability. See "Our groups" page for the full list.
Who can join a group?
Our groups are designed primarily for young adults seeking community and support. We conduct a brief intake assessment to help match you with the best fit, but if you know the group you want, you can also join directly upon availability.
Do I need to be in individual therapy to join?
Individual therapy is not required for most groups. For clients with higher acuity, a referral or recommendation may be suggested, but this is handled discreetly and case-by-case.
How often and how long do groups meet?
Groups meet virtually for 60 minutes, usually once a week. Group lengths vary depending on the type — some are time-limited programs, others run continuously.
How much does it cost? Do you accept insurance?
Each group session costs $35. We do not accept insurance. We do accept most HSA/HRA payments.
How large are groups?
Groups typically range from 6 to 8 participants. We keep the groups small to ensure the focus stays on you, allowing space for meaningful connections and a supportive environment.
What if I miss a session?
For time-limited groups (like 8-week programs), we ask for a minimum commitment of attending at least 6 sessions to maintain group cohesion and maximize benefit. If you know you have upcoming conflicts, please let your facilitator know in advance.
For ongoing groups, regular attendance is encouraged to support your progress and the group’s dynamic. We understand life happens, so if you need to miss a session, please notify your facilitator. We’ll check in to ensure the group remains a good fit for your needs.
How do I join a group?
You can complete a short intake assessment to help us find the right group for you, or if you already know which group fits your needs, you can sign up directly—pending availability.
