About Common Place

A modern space for shared healing

Our mission is to make effective mental health treatment more accessible through connection-centered group therapy.

Why our model?

Mental health care today can feel out of reach. Insurance limits your options, and private-pay therapy can cost more than you can afford.

Common Place offers something different: connection-centered group therapy designed for young adults, led by experienced clinicians and priced at just $35 per session. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, or simply craving support, our groups offer a space to feel seen, supported, and understood, without jumping through hoops.

Why group therapy?

You’re not alone, and you were never meant to carry everything by yourself. Group therapy offers a space for shared healing, genuine connection, and mutual understanding. Instead of navigating it all on your own, you’ll be part of a community where others truly understand.

Self-compassion researcher Dr. Kristin Neff describes “common humanity”—the idea that struggle is a universal part of being human. Group therapy brings this concept to life. Hearing others share their stories can normalize your experience and reduce shame.

Many research studies show that group therapy can be highly effective for mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and grief. In addition to reducing symptoms, it offers something uniquely powerful: a sense of connection, shared understanding, and a more affordable path to support.
